Synopsis
Ichigo Kurosaki, a Karakura Town high schooler who can see ghosts, gains Soul Reaper powers after Rukia Kuchiki is wounded protecting his family from a Hollow. Taking on her duties, he hunts the masked spirits threatening the living while Rukia slowly loses her own strength. When the Soul Society sentences Rukia to death for transferring her powers to a human, Ichigo and a small band of allies — guided by the exiled shopkeeper Kisuke Urahara — break into the Seireitei to rescue her.
