Synopsis
Kyon, a first-year high school student resigned to a mundane existence, sits behind Haruhi Suzumiya on the first day of class and listens to her announce that she has no interest in ordinary humans. When he offhandedly suggests she start her own club, Haruhi founds the SOS Brigade and drags in the quiet Yuki Nagato, the timid Mikuru Asahina, and the ever-smiling Itsuki Koizumi. Each new member harbors a secret tied to Haruhi herself — alien, time traveler, esper — and only Kyon remains an ordinary person caught in the middle.
