Yukio Tonegawa handles whatever the Teiai Group needs handled, so when chairman Kazutaka Hyodo gets bored and orders a death game staged for indebted men, the entire production lands on him. Tonegawa works it out in meeting rooms with a bench of black-suited subordinates who misread instructions, pitch useless ideas and have to be steered through every step. This manga turns the Kaiji underworld into office comedy, with Tonegawa managing upward at a man who can end his career on a whim.
