A year after the Yamato brought Earth back from the brink, a white comet wide enough to swallow whole worlds drifts in from deep space, wrecking everything in its path. Susumu Kodai and the crew take the ship out again to find what rides inside the cloud, and the Comet Empire behind it turns out to be stranger than Earth's survey predicted. These 26 episodes rework the feature Arrivederci Yamato into a full season.
