Transferring to a new high school in Chiba, Takashi Mitsuhashi and Shinji Ito each decide to reinvent themselves as delinquents the moment they arrive. Mitsuhashi is a born troublemaker who fights with whatever it takes to win, while Ito is a stubborn idealist who throws punches in the name of justice. Their clashing styles set them against each other at first, but the two soon team up and tear through a string of brawls with rival schools and tougher street fighters.

College student Keiichi Morisato misdials a phone line and reaches the Goddess Technical Help Line, summoning Belldandy into his dorm room with the promise of a single wish. Half-joking, he wishes that she stay with him forever, and to his shock the wish is granted. Barred from his all-male dorm, the pair take shelter in an old Buddhist temple, where everyday life with a goddess begins and her sisters Urd and Skuld soon follow.
