Synopsis
This reboot adapts Naoko Takeuchi's original manga from scratch rather than remaking the 1990s anime, following Usagi Tsukino as she gains the power to transform into Sailor Moon. Guided by the talking cat Luna, Usagi gathers the other Sailor Guardians, searches for the Moon Princess, and protects the immensely powerful Silver Crystal from the Dark Kingdom, whose agents drain life energy from people. The opening arc retells Usagi's awakening and the assembling of the Inner Guardians more faithfully to the manga than the earlier series did.
