Synopsis
After being attacked in the real world, Kirito wakes inside the Underworld — an immersive virtual realm generated by the experimental Soul Translator technology. With no memory of how he arrived, he reunites with Eugeo, a boy he somehow remembers from a childhood that shouldn't exist. Eugeo has spent years waiting to rescue his childhood friend Alice, who was taken away by an Integrity Knight for breaking the Taboo Index. Together Kirito and Eugeo set out for the Central Cathedral, training as swordsmen at the Sword Mastery Academy while uncovering the Axiom Church's authoritarian grip on the Underworld.
