Synopsis
Kazuto Kirigaya — playing as Kirito — is one of thousands who log into Sword Art Online, the first full-dive virtual-reality MMO, on its launch day. When creator Akihiko Kayaba traps every player inside the game, the rules turn lethal: dying in the floating castle of Aincrad means dying in real life, and the only way out is to clear all hundred floors. Kirito sets out as a solo swordsman, crossing paths with the skilled rapier-fighter Asuna as the trapped players claw upward floor by floor.
