Synopsis
Ten thousand players are trapped inside the virtual MMO Sword Art Online, unable to log out until someone clears all one hundred floors of the castle Aincrad, where dying in-game means dying for real. This manga retells the climb floor by floor: solo swordsman Kirito teams up with the wary fencer Asuna early on, and the two grind through bosses the original story skipped. It expands the gap the main series left between the first floor and the upper levels.
