Synopsis
Shinji Ikari arrives in Tokyo-3 at his estranged father Gendou's summons and is thrust into the cockpit of Evangelion Unit-01, a giant bio-mechanical weapon, to fight monstrous beings called Angels threatening what remains of humanity after the Second Impact. Alongside fellow pilot Rei Ayanami, Shinji battles a series of Angel attacks while struggling to connect with a father who sees him only as a tool. This first Rebuild of Evangelion film retells the opening arc of the original series.
