Shinji Ikari, catatonic after triggering Near Third Impact, is dragged across a ruined landscape by Asuka to the refugee settlement Village-3, where former classmates Toji and Kensuke have built fragile new lives. As Shinji slowly recovers among the villagers, Gendo Ikari and NERV press forward with a plan to remake the world entirely. This fourth and final Rebuild film brings the reimagined Evangelion saga to its conclusion.
