Tokyo, 2030: Dr. Tenma builds a robot in the image of his dead son Tobio, then turns on it once he accepts that a machine will not give him the boy back. Dr. Ochanomizu takes the discarded robot in, names him Atom, and raises him alongside a robot sister, Uran. Atom's strength puts him between humans and machines again and again, and Atlas, a robot convinced his kind should rule rather than serve, keeps turning up on the other side. This is a color remake of the original 1963 series.
