Takeru Shirogane wakes three years after the fighting he remembers and works out that he has been sent backward through his own timeline rather than forward. The BETA still hold Eurasia, humanity still answers with Tactical Surface Fighters, and Takeru now carries something nobody around him has: memory of how this went the first time. He falls in behind Professor Kouzuki and the Alternative IV plan, the programme meant to carry humanity through. This manga carries the Alternative arc of the Muv-Luv games across seventeen volumes.
