Koyomi Araragi, a third-year high schooler left part vampire after a near-fatal attack, keeps crossing paths with classmates haunted by supernatural oddities. When he catches Hitagi Senjougahara as she falls and finds she weighs almost nothing, he pulls her toward Meme Oshino, the drifter who once helped reverse his own condition. First Season collects the opening Monogatari stories — Kizumonogatari, Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, and Nekomonogatari: Kuro — that introduce Araragi and the cursed girls around him.
