Genjo Sanzo, Son Goku, Sha Gojyo and Cho Hakkai keep driving west in the dragon-turned-jeep Hakuryu, bound for India to stop the resurrection of the demon king Gyumaoh while the Minus Wave keeps turning yokai against humans. Friction inside the party grows as the fights pile up, and the road eventually brings them face to face with a pair of travelers from the far West, the priest Hazel Grouse and his bodyguard Gat, whose methods clash sharply with their own. This third TV series follows Saiyuki Reload and tells much of its story in anime-original episodes.
