Synopsis
In 2059, the colony fleet Macross Frontier crosses the galaxy in search of a new home until a swarm of insectoid aliens called the Vajra tears into its convoy. Caught in the attack are Alto Saotome, a former kabuki actor training as a Valkyrie pilot; Ranka Lee, a shy girl who dreams of becoming an idol; and Sheryl Nome, the established star known as the Galactic Fairy. As the Vajra press the fleet, the three are drawn together amid battles fought to the beat of live idol pop.
