He is sought by the Dead Moon Circus, a troupe led by Queen Nehelenia that scours the city for the dreamer who can unlock the Golden Crystal. Usagi Tsukino and the Sailor Guardians take up the fight to shield Pegasus and the people whose dreams the circus preys upon. This fourth season adapts the manga's Dream arc with a lighter, more comedic tone.

When an accident in the afterlife unleashes the demon Janemba, the barrier between the living and the dead collapses and the deceased spill back into the world. Goku confronts Janemba while Vegeta reluctantly agrees to attempt the Fusion Dance with him, despite refusing to be paired with a lower-class Saiyan. Their first try produces the useless Veku, and only a clean second fusion into Gogeta gives them a fighter strong enough to face Super Janemba. This twelfth Dragon Ball Z film runs alongside the TV series.

Shizuku Tsukishima, a book-obsessed junior high school student in Tokyo, keeps finding the same name — Seiji Amasawa — on the checkout cards of every library book she borrows. Her curiosity leads her to a charming antique shop run by Seiji's grandfather, Nishi, where a cat figurine called the Baron catches her imagination. When she discovers that Seiji is quietly training to become a violin maker in Cremona, Shizuku is stirred to test her own creative ambitions and begins drafting her first novel.

An old man named Hoi asks Gohan, Videl, and the rest of the Z Fighters to free a warrior sealed inside an unopenable music box, which they pry open using the Dragon Balls. Out steps Tapion, who has spent ages locked away to contain the monster Hirudegarn within his own body. Young Trunks befriends the wary warrior even as Hoi schemes to unleash the creature on Earth. This thirteenth Dragon Ball Z feature film is a standalone story outside the main timeline.

In "Magnetic Rose," a salvage crew answering a distress call drifts into a derelict station shaped by one woman's memories and the aria of Madame Butterfly. "Stink Bomb" follows lab technician Nobuo, who swallows an experimental pill and becomes a walking weapon emitting a gas that kills everyone around him. "Cannon Fodder" traces a single day for a family in a city built entirely around firing its cannons at an unseen enemy.

Shinji Ikari, a withdrawn fourteen-year-old, is summoned to the fortress city of Tokyo-3 by his estranged father Gendo, commander of the paramilitary organization NERV. There, Shinji is ordered to pilot Evangelion Unit-01, a massive biomechanical weapon, against the Angels — beings of unknown origin attacking the city. Alongside fellow pilots Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Soryu, he fights under the supervision of tactical officer Misato Katsuragi while struggling with a father who sees him only as a tool.

In 2029, Major Motoko Kusanagi of the counter-cyberterrorism unit Section 9 pursues a hacker known as the Puppet Master, who ghost-hacks human cyberbrains to manipulate people into committing crimes. The investigation reveals the Puppet Master to be Project 2501, a sentient artificial intelligence created by the government's Section 6 that escaped its firewalled confinement by manufacturing a cyborg body. When Section 6 attempts to recover their rogue program by force, Kusanagi protects it and ultimately merges her own ghost with Project 2501. Directed by Mamoru Oshii and animated by Production I.G, this 1995 theatrical film adapts Masamune Shirow's manga.

Separated from Yui, Miaka is named the Priestess of Suzaku and must gather the seven Celestial Warriors of the god Suzaku to be granted her wishes. She soon falls for one of them, the money-obsessed fighter Tamahome, while Yui ends up bound to the rival nation of Kutou.

Seventeen-year-old Tenchi Masaki lives a quiet life near his grandfather's shrine until the space pirate Ryoko crash-lands nearby and moves into his home uninvited. She is soon joined by the Juraian princess Ayeka, the bumbling Galaxy Police officer Mihoshi, and others, turning the Masaki household into a crowded standoff of alien women with competing claims on Tenchi. This 26-episode TV series retells the Tenchi Muyo! cast in a continuity separate from the original OVAs.
