At Seishou Academy, every student is a living, human-shaped firearm training toward the day she's issued to a real soldier, and a new human teacher walks in to find FNC, an assault rifle who goes by Funco, correcting him: she's a weapon, not a schoolgirl. Ichiroku, Sig, and Elle round out Funco's circle as the school splits students by weapon class, from submachine guns in the lower grades to battle rifles among the seniors. Chapters regularly pause for detailed, real-world firearms trivia tied to whatever gun a character represents.
