These two special episodes accompany the Shiki TV series, set in the small mountain village of Sotoba where a wave of deaths follows the arrival of the reclusive Kirishiki family. Where the broadcast run leaned on the human side of the outbreak, the specials retell events through minor characters and tilt sympathy toward the okiagari, the risen dead feeding on the living. The bundled episodes fill gaps around the main story, including Motoko Maeda's fate during the village's hunt for the shiki.

This feature film returns to Sorami City, where student Tomoki Sakurai lives surrounded by the winged Angeloids who have fallen into his life, chief among them the gentle Ikaros. A shy classmate named Hiyori Kazane joins the New World Discovery Club to grow closer to Tomoki, only to be drawn into the Synapse above and remade as an Angeloid with power over time. Set against the everyday chaos of Tomoki's household, the story turns on whether Ikaros and the others can save her.
